Within the Medical Industry, extra caution must be taken to make sure that strictest of "cleanliness" standards are adhered to. This requires Airknife Drying Systems configured for use with HEPA or ULPA filters to ensure clean air is being used to blow-off and dry syringes, etc.

HEPA Filters are used when application requirements call for a High Efficiency Particulate Air filter designed to remove 99.97% of airborne particles measuring 0.3-micrometers (0.3-microns) or greater in diameter.

ULPA Filters are used when application requirements call for a Ultra-Low Particulate Air filter designed to remove 99.999% of airborne particles (particles can range between dust, pollen, mold, bacteria etc.) measuring 100-nanometers (0.1-microns) or greater in diameter.
